Arts and Culture In Placemaking

Join us for an engaging roundtable, where we will explore placemaking that is derived directly from the local, indigenous, and contemporary arts and culture that helps to create place.

Santa Fe, New Mexico, known worldwide for its historic downtown context and southwest arts presents the successes and barriers to design, art, and culture as it shapes community and neighborhood design. But how is this interpreted in new construction and infill development?

Also, join us for the pre-tour as we explore Albuquerque master planned neighborhoods, infill agrihoods, and the diverse placemaking techniques on historic Route 66 with its centennial this year. We will fly into Albuquerque, then have you on the passenger train to Santa Fe in time to kick off the Roundtable.
